I use photography as a means of slowing down. It’s a meditative process where I stop and really take in the world around me. In the frenzied pace of life, I feel like we all don’t have time to take a pause and really see the beauty and absolute awe that exists in the world. We don’t have to travel to exotic locations to find it, either- it’s all around us, if we’d just take the time to really look for it. It’s in the mundane, ordinary moments of life- the way your toddler wraps her hands inside yours, the morning sun wrapping around your coffee mug, the pattern of frost on each blade of grass.
