I’d like to introduce you to Angela Rose! Angela is a strong beautiful Mom to two girls, and she works with the Bel Air Downtown Alliance. She’s got her finger on the pulse of everything happening in Bel Air, yet still has time to be a devoted, loving mama.
How would you describe yourself, using only 3 words? why those words?
Loyal, Gregarious, Genuine.
These three words describe me in the best fashion. I’m a fiercely loyal person where what you see is what you get with me and I love being around people.
What are you most passionate about?
I’m most passionate about sharing love and helping others. I love spreading happiness whether it’s through a smile, encouraging word, or advice.
What is your favorite quality of each of your children?
Bella, 11, is my mini-me. I love seeing her out-going nature. She is comfortable talking with others and enjoys making new friends.
Gianna, 7, is such a caring person yet quiet soul. I love how you might not think Gianna is listening but she is always paying attention and gives the best hugs and says the sweetest things.
What about motherhood has most surprised you?
I’m most surprised at how much motherhood has been a lesson for me. I thought motherhood was mostly about teaching my children but I learn as much from them and from being a mom as I teach. It’s fascinating!
Tell me about your work with the Bel Air Downtown Alliance, and what drew you to that organization.
I am the Events and Promotions Coordinator for the Bel Air Downtown Alliance. I love what I do because I enjoy planning events and making sure all of the pieces of the puzzle fit to make the event a success. I was drawn to the Alliance because I believed in the mission of “creating a vibrant business community and visitor-friendly destination in downtown Bel Air.” My life is in Bel Air so what better way to utilize my professional skills AND promote my town than to work with the Alliance! It has been a wonderful 2.5 years with the organization.
What is your favorite aspect of motherhood?
My favorite aspect of motherhood is getting to see these 2 amazing individuals grow up and learn…two individuals that I help create. Motherhood is a true miracle, in my opinion.
What is your least favorite part of motherhood?
My least favorite part of motherhood is watching my children get (emotionally) hurt and not being able to “fix” it. A mother’s instinct is to protect her kids so when you can’t, it’s very heart-wrenching.
Has your perception of motherhood changed from before you had kids, when you had young kids, and now?
YES! My perception of motherhood has changed A LOT! Before I had kids, I thought a well-organized and structured woman would breeze through motherhood’s responsibilities. WOW, was I clueless. Motherhood has taught me to have a plan, expect it to fall apart, roll with the punches, and laugh and learn through it all.
Being a mother is the most important role I will ever have in life. I am beyond blessed to have my girls and I only hope that I set a good example as a woman and mother-an example of strength, compassion, morality, integrity, and love.
