Silhouette Portraits are for Everyone!

Silhouette portraits have been opened for booking to my VIP list- but don’t worry- if you aren’t on the list, they will open to the general public at the end of the month if space remains.
In the flurry of emails, there were two repeat questions that I thought I’d share with you here.
Are silhouette sessions just for the kids?
The number one question this year is about the kids. While yes, the majority of silhouettes I photograph are of the kids- it’s not just for the kids. It’s for the whole family! I always encourage Moms and Dads to get in some of the photos. You also don’t need to have kids at all to have a silhouette portrait. It can be for a couple, for a group of friends, for a person wanting to celebrate themselves.

What about the family pet?
Your dog is a part of the family, and leashed dogs are more than welcome to join in your session. The leash isn’t about your dog’s behavior- the way a silhouette session works is confusing for dogs and a leash helps keep them in the right spot. I do recommend bringing a helper if you want the family dog in your photo, so we can do portraits with and without your furry friend.
If this is something you are interested in, keep your eyes on this blog. I’ll post here as soon as I start booking these unique portrait sessions.
These photos from last year’s silhouette portrait make me smile every time I look at them. They are of the wonderful Stacey Andon (a local life and business coach) who celebrated her husband, her sweet dog Dr. P, and as you can see from the link- we also got delightfully silly and lighthearted for her to use in her branding. Stacey is brilliant at helping women unlock their magic.
Did you miss out on the big announcement? Make sure you get on the list for next year!
