I always dread writing these "about me" pages. I'd much rather let the photographs do the talking, but here we are.
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Photographic Arts back in the ancient darkroom days, and after years of shooting digitally, I'm finally finding my way back to film. I spent 14 years running a commercial photography business before stepping away so I could spend more time with my family and reconnect with the kind of photography that first made me fall in love with the medium so many years ago.
It wasn't an easy decision, but it was the right one.
When I'm not laying on my stomach in the wet grass with a camera, chasing water drops on spiderwebs (my neighbors must think I'm nuts), I'm probably camping in the woods with the Scouts. I run like a turtle in peanut butter, but I keep signing up for races and never remember to train.  I've also recently taken up powerlifting, just don't laugh at how few plates are on my bar.
My work is a mix of digital and film. I'm fiercely Team Nikon, with a side of Lensbaby.
I'm also exploring a return to artist education. If you're looking for a virtual portfolio review or one-on-one mentoring, I'd love to connect.
